Round Annapurna Trek

Jiban, you were so at ease with us, making us feel like it was all under control. When we come to a country for the first time, not knowing what to expect, it's nice to know you will be there to pick us up, get us transportation, set up good accomodations. You have good connections and people respect you wherever we went.

We want you to take care of those that Guide and porter for you so they may learn from you how to be a leader. The Annapurna Trek is a personal achievement of satisfaction for those who complete it. We are very fulfilled and glad it was a part of our life experience. It is also a trek for us to respect the Nepalese people for the conditions they live in, working hard to accomodate the foreigners. Nepal is a beautiful country! The Annapurnas are majestic and magical. We will cherish these memories forever! Thank you Jiban! And thank you to my brother Chris for sharing his love of the Himalayan mountains and culture to inspire us to go on this trek.

P.S. Jiban, I continue to play tennis and will be better the next time we play!! Thank you for your time to play and steam with us.

Nelspruit - "We were desperately trying to free her. But then she just stopped struggling." This is how an emotional Eric Dixon on Sunday described the tragic accident in which his friend and rowing partner drowned near Nelspruit on Valentine's Day.

Laetitia Scheepers, 30, a physiotherapist from Nelspruit and a member of the Lowveld rowing club, drowned on Saturday after her canoe became trapped under a tree trunk. "We desperately tried to free her, but it was too late," Dixon said on Sunday.

She been in Nepal did Everest base camp trek and start plan to climb 8000m mountains from year 2010.

Dear Jiban & Durga,

What a great honor and pleasure to have you present for Dave and Kristine's wedding. You surely made it more wonderful with your presence. And you looked perfectly well rested after your whirlwind tour of the United States.

Langtang Valley and Yala Peak - Ganja La and Naya Khang - Gosainkunda - Chitwan National Park - Annapurna Circuit Fall 2008

Life has been very busy in the 6 weeks we have been back – and I suddenly realised I had not sent you a formal not of thanks for a really wonderful trip. It was a pretty ambitious program – and went without a hitch.

Feel free to use the following either on your web site or as an email to anyone asking for a reference.

In October 2008 our group of 19 walkers and runners arrived in Nepal with a pretty ambitious program. While a core goal was to run the Annapurna Circuit in seven days, we also wanted to experience a couple of trekking peaks and introduce the group to both camping and tea-house trekking. The result was a very crowded program with no spare days. Jiban organised all the activities in Nepal and the trip ran incredibly smoothly. As a result everyone achieved their goals (an almost un-heard of record for this type of trip).

We are already planning our next trips to Nepal and will certainly be working with Jiban. I would be pleased to provide a direct reference to anyone considering a trip with Jiban. Contact me via our web site at www.outdoor.co.nz.

For the record our trip included:

Langtang Valley and Yala Peak
Ganja La and Naya Khang
Gosainkunda
Chitwan National Park [Wildlife Excursion]
Annapurna Circuit
(Besi Sahr to Birethanti via Thorung La and Ghorepani) in 7 days.

Les formally-thanks for a great time and we look forward to returning.

Namaste Jiban,

Thank you so much for your email. It was a pleasure to meet you as well, and experience the friendliness of your people and the beautiful scenery of Nepal. We are very grateful to you for your excellent organising and the wonderful guides and porters your company hired. You all helped to make our trip memorable and safe. I personally am especially grateful to Karki and Bikash. I could not have done the trek without their incredible support, but all the other guides and porters were fantastic too- Nime, Robbie, Santa, Depak (the wonderful cook!) and so on. I know Russell and Andrew were extemely impressed with Tshering and I felt happier knowing that they had such an experienced guide for the mountain climbs. I will not hesitate to recommend your company to people who are travelling to Nepal.

We have taken many great photos. Russell is away for work in New Zealand at the moment, but when he returns we will send you a selection that we think you would like. Once again, thank you. I hope we will keep in touch and let us know if you ever plan to visit Australia or New Zealand.

Kind regards

Hi Jiban,

It was a great trek you organized for us. Everything worked better than a swiss clock. It's a miracle for us that we got on the Bankok flight. You are amazing! Please let me know how much I owe for the Business upgrade and how do you want me to pay for it. If I can use a credit card it will be good. It'll be a few weeks before we organize the 2000 pictures we took. And longer for the video. But you will get a copy. Now I have to convince my daughter to come to visit. She will.

Cheers,

Namaste Jiban,

We have quite an adventure coming home from Nepal. The stopover in Delhi was a little hectic. But we made it through and got home OK. I've been on an eating binge since I got back. I think I've gained all the weight back that I lost, maybe even a little more. Thanks for the excellent service. I will tell others who's interested about your firm.
